HOUSTON — The Houston Health Department is hosting two virtual job fairs today to beef up its workforce in the battle to contain COVID-19.
The job fairs will provide information on 300 new temporary positions, including how to apply.
Available positions include contact tracers, call center representatives, community involvement coordinators, epidemiologists, nurses and other roles.
The Houston Together Virtual Job Fairs take place Thursday, May 14 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
People interested in participating should head to the City of Houston Human Resources careers webpage to find links for the virtual events.
Last week, Mayor Sylvester Turner and COVID-19 Recovery Czar Marvin Odum announced a COVID-19 response plan focused on testing access and equity and expanding the health department’s workforce.
Houstonians should visit HoustonEmergergency.org/covid19 for test site information and the latest information about the COVID-19 response.
