GALVESTON, Texas — The Mardi Gras Galveston organizers don’t want it to rain on their parade – literally – so they’re making some changes.
Because of the expected rain in the forecast Saturday, they’re making adjustments to the parade schedule and fun run by shifting them by an hour.
Here is the new schedule of events straight from Mardi Gras Galveston organizers with the bold items as the one that have been changed due to weather.
Friday, Feb. 2 - Event Opens at 5 p.m.
Parades
- 5:00 PM: Party Gras! Procession
- 5:30 PM: George P. Mitchell Mardi Gras Award Presentation (Honoring Bill and LibbieAnsell)
- 7:00 PM: George P. Mitchell Mardi Gras Award Honoree Parade
- 8:30 PM: Funky Uptown Umbrella Brigade (Presented by The Galveston Daily News)
- 10:00 PM: Mardi Gras! Galveston Parade with Grand Marshal Trey from the Fe
Main Stage Entertainment:
- 5:15 p.m.: Mid Life Crisis
- 7:30 p.m. The Line Up
- 10:00 p.m. : Hayden Baker
