HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A driver died after slamming their car into a truck tractor on the Beaumont Highway in northeast Harris County Friday morning, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
The sheriff posted about the crash at 8:46 a.m. This happened just west of Beltway 8.
The sheriff said the driver of a sedan was speeding and hit the truck tractor. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
He was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Traffic is being diverted southbound on Beltway 8.
