These Houston restaurants made Yelp's list of 'Top 100 Places to Eat in 2024'

Every year, Yelp analyzes millions of reviews and suggestions from its community of users to name the best local eateries for its Top 100 Places to Eat list.

HOUSTON — Oh, Houston! You just continue to show the world why you're one of THE BEST eating towns around. 

Yelp just released its list of "Top 100 Places to Eat in 2024" and FIVE Houston restaurants made the cut. Because...DUH!

Yelp said every year, it analyzes millions of reviews and suggestions from its community of users to name the best local eateries for its Top 100 Places to Eat list. These places could be hidden gems in strip malls to upscale dining establishments.

Houston restaurants on Yelp's 'Top 100 Places to Eat in 2024' 

  • #27 -- burger-chan | The build-your-own burger joint is making a comeback after being #47 on last year's list.
  • #38 -- Tacos Doña Lena | This family-owned restaurant made the cut last year and in 2021. Customers can't enough of its authentic Mexican street food. 
  • #61 -- Avesta Persian Grill | Avesta Persian Grill was founded in 2015 in Houston, Texas, according to the restaurant's website. The owner, Zaffar Anvari, immigrated to the U.S. from his hometown of Dushanbe, Tajikistan, leaving behind a family of restaurant owners to pursue his dream of opening his own.
  • #63 -- Pappa Gyros | Located on the outskirts of Houston in Katy, Texas, this restaurant fuses new American and Greek cuisine to offer everything from Italian beef sandwiches and Philly cheese steaks. 
  • #99 -- Southern Yankee Crafthouse | This family-owned and operated brewery was established in Houston in 2021. The menu showcases wood-fired Neapolitan-style pizza, plus a variety of house-made, seasonal, and local items.

Three other Texas restaurants made the 2024 list, including two eateries in San Antonio and one in Irving, Texas.
