HPD: At least 1 police officer injured in crash at end of chase in north Houston

Houston police said at least one officer was injured Thursday night at the end of a chase.

HOUSTON — At least one Houston police officer was injured Thursday night at the end of a chase in north Houston, according to authorities.

Investigators said the chase involved Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies and it came to an end around 8:45 p.m. at the intersection of Aldine Westfield Road and Little York Road.

A Houston Police Department SUV was struck by another vehicle at the end of the chase, officials said.

The officer who was injured didn't suffer serious injuries, according to authorities.

It's unclear what started the chase or if anyone else was injured. It's also unclear if anyone was taken into custody.
