HOUSTON — The Houston Police Department said it's looking for a man who was caught exposing himself on home security video in the middle of the night.
The most recent incident happened one week ago in the Old Braeswood neighborhood on the edge of the Texas Medical Center.
Residents said it’s not the first time he’s been seen naked in the area. It isn’t clear why the man is doing it or if he’s targeting the homes he visits. The man can be clearly seen in a screenshot from a family’s Ring camera video.
According to an alert from the neighborhood association, the man pushed the doorbell at the home on Maroneal Street and exposed himself to the camera for half an hour. It happened last Wednesday at 1:45 a.m.
The association said the unidentified man has been doing similar things in other neighborhoods nearby. They said he’s been spotted lying naked on front porches within clear view of neighbors’ security cameras.
Houston police are advising residents not to open their doors if someone they’re not expecting shows up overnight. Instead, they recommend making some type of noise inside to possibly scare off whomever is at their door.
Then, they said to call the police right away.
The neighborhood association is recommending that residents living on major streets like Kirby, Main, and Greenbriar be especially alert right now.
