One injured after woman crashes into massage parlor in NW Harris County, deputies say

Deputies said the woman possibly lost control of her vehicle.

HOUSTON — One person was injured Wednesday after a woman crashed into a massage parlor in northwest Harris County, deputies said

Harris County Constable Precinct 4 deputies said the woman possibly lost control of her vehicle when she crashed into 1&1 Massage on FM 1960 near Champions Forest Drive.

Two people were inside the business at the time of the crash. An employee was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, deputies said.

A woman working at a nearby preschool witnessed the crash.

"It was like a loud boom," Nanette Mojares told KHOU.

Mojares said the woman was trying to park in front of the massage parlor but instead of braking, her car kept going and going. The woman then backed her car out of the building.

"We were telling her to stop. Don’t back out," Mojares said.

Morajes said the woman told her she was trying to get to the urgent care next door.

The massage parlor suffered significant damage, but luckily, no one was seriously injured.

"We ask if she was okay but she was shaken up," Mojares said. "She was looking to her car and trying to see if she was able to drive home."

Precinct 4 deputies are investigating this crash.

The Harris County Fire Marshal's Office closed the business.

EDITOR'S NOTE: Initially Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman reported a witness said the woman drove into the massage parlor multiple times. We've since learned that was incorrect. We have made changes to our story to reflect what we now know.
