9 people injured after car slams into a restaurant in Jersey Village, police chief says

Jersey Village Police Chief Danny Keele said the ages of the people injured range from 16 to 76.

JERSEY VILLAGE, Texas — Several people were injured and some were transported to the hospital after a car slammed into a restaurant in Jersey Village Saturday afternoon, according to police.

It happened at 12:20 p.m. at Little Kitchen HTX on Dillard Drive near Highway 290.

Jersey Village Police Chief Danny Keele said a 76-year-old woman crashed into the restaurant. 

Nine people were injured and of those nine, one was transported to the hospital via Life Flight and four by ambulance.

The ages of the people injured range from 16 to 76. The driver was also transported to the hospital. 

Keele said the person who was life-flighted was in critical condition, but is now stable. The other victims appear to have suffered minor injuries. 

According to Keele, the driver showed no signs of intoxication and at this time, no charges are being filed.
