Harris County Pct. 2 deputy injured after rollover crash during traffic stop, HPD says

The driver stayed at the scene and is expected to be OK. Police said they are still investigating who was at fault in the crash.

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A Harris County Pct. 2 deputy constable was hurt after a rollover crash while attempting a traffic early Sunday morning, according to the Houston Police Department.

This happened around 2:15 a.m. on Beamer Road, which is near the Sam Houston Tollway and the Gulf Freeway.

Police said the deputy was attempting to pull someone over when another vehicle hit his patrol car, causing it to roll over.

The Houston Fire Department rescued him from the patrol car and he was taken to an area hospital for neck and back injuries and possibly broken bones, according to HPD.

The driver stayed at the scene and is expected to be OK. Police said they are still investigating who was at fault in the crash.
