HOUSTON - An elderly woman has died after she was struck by a car Wednesday night in northwest Houston.
Police said a woman on a mobility scooter was struck around 6 p.m. Wednesday in the 1800 block of Wirt Road near Long Point Road. Officials said she was not walking in a cross walk.
The driver stayed at the scene and showed no signs of intoxication, according to police.
Police do not expect the driver to face any charges.
