CARROLLTON, Texas — A North Texas woman allegedly stabbed her husband and then drove into a retention pond with her three children inside the car, according to the Carrolton Police Department.

Police said officers on Friday afternoon were still investigating a domestic violence incident involving a man stabbed with a knife in the 4400 block of Tall Knight Lane, as well as a related accident where someone drove a vehicle into a retention pond near the 900 block of Hebron Parkway in Lewisville.

Carrollton police, along with Carrollton Fire Rescue, responded to a call at 7:48 a.m. Friday from a man alleging he had been stabbed by his wife. Carrollton Fire Rescue transported him to a local hospital for further treatment. As of Friday afternoon, officials said he is expected to survive.

In a separate 911 call in Lewisville, the Lewisville Police Department said officers responded to a report of one adult woman later confirmed to be the wife of the stabbed man, and three children, ages 8, 9 and 12, who were inside a vehicle that had been driven into a lake.

Lewisville police told WFAA first responders were able to pull the woman, identified as Wei Fen Ong, and two children from the vehicle, and the third child was able to free himself. One child was resuscitated at the scene, and a second child was resuscitated on the way to the hospital, Lewisville police said.

In an updated on Nov. 20, police told WFAA that the 12-year-old was cleared from the hospital on Friday following the incident, the 9-year-old was discharged from the hospital on Sunday, and the 8-year-old remains in the hospital.

Police said Ong is now in custody at the Carrollton Police Department and will be transferred to the Denton County detention facility.
