LA PORTE, Texas — A 3-year-old girl is dead after drowning at Sylvan Beach Park in La Porte, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
EMS tried to resuscitate the girl, who Gonzalez said had been under water for an unknown amount of time.
She was taken to Bayshore Hospital, where she died.
