HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A Harris County Sheriff’s deputy is standing for Houston by helping out a woman whose backpack was stolen.
Sheriff’s deputies said someone broke into the woman’s car and took her backpack Monday night. Sgt. Ray Parker spotted the bag along the Katy Freeway Tuesday morning and managed to track down the owner.
HCSO posted a photo to social media of the woman with her backpack. She told deputies it was stolen when someone smashed her window in a restaurant parking lot.
Way to go, Sgt. Parker!
