HOUSTON — A substitute teacher at an HISD elementary school is accused of inappropriate conduct and was reassigned off-campus pending the outcome of a full investigation, the district confirmed in a statement.
Cunningham Elementary School Principal Karen Harris sent a letter to parents Tuesday alerting them of the allegations, announcing a parent meeting regarding the incident for Thursday.
Specific details of the allegations were not disclosed.
“Allegations of inappropriate conduct have been levied against a substitute teacher at Cunningham Elementary School,” HISD said in a statement. “Upon learning of the allegations, the employee was immediately reassigned off-campus pending the outcome of a full investigation. Please know we take these situations very seriously as the safety of our students is always our top priority.”
