HOUSTON — Houston police are working to find out what happened to an 18-year-old woman who was found dead near a downtown bayou late last week.
Tierra Horn's body was found near Buffalo Bayou while search crews were looking for her on Friday. She had been reported missing before her body was found near an apartment complex along Nance Street a few blocks away from Minute Maid Park.
According to the medical examiner's office, Horn's death was caused by "compression" to her neck.
The Houston Police Department said a homicide investigation was opened to find out what happened to her.
