CHANNELVIEW, Texas — Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said a woman was shot during a dispute outside a home in the Channelview area late Tuesday.
The Channelview Fire Department and sheriff’s deputies responded to a home on Macclesby at Ferness shortly after 10 p.m.
Investigators believe the victim arrived at the home and got into an argument with the suspect, who then opened fire on her, shooting her once. The victim fled the scene. As of Tuesday night, deputies said they knew who he is, and they believed they could bring him into custody.
The victim was taken to a hospital in the Texas Medical Center and is expected to survive, said Lt. Schields with HCSO.
The alleged shooter’s name has not been released.
