Woman caught shoplifting on camera returns clothes to boutique

Marlo Miller's Boutique may be small but over the past few days it has gotten big support from the community.

HOUSTON - The woman who was caught on camera stealing hundreds of dollars worth of clothes from a Memorial City boutique showed back up on Friday to return the stolen items.

Marlo Miller's Boutique may be small but over the past few days it has gotten big support from the community.

"I'm very surprised that there are so many people that supported me," said Marlo Miller.

On Wednesday, surveillance cameras were rolling when a woman stuffed hundreds of dollars worth of expensive clothes into her purse. The video was posted on Facebook and viewed more than 70,000 times. One of Miller's friends recognized the thief and turned over her name.

"She [the shoplifter] came this morning to return the merchandise and she was apologetic and she was nervous."

On Friday morning when the suspect went back to the boutique, she was met by Houston Police who detained her and issued a trespassing warrant; meaning if she ever comes back she will be arrested on the spot.

"She said that she's been through some tough times and she needs help and I hope that she will go and get help."

Although the suspect was allowed to leave the case has been turned over to the Harris County District Attorney.

"Everyone that has shared it and commented and called and stopped by… I really appreciate it because we caught her."

The suspect is banned not only from Marlo Miller Boutique but every store in Memorial City.
