Couple accused of creating videos of young girls using hidden cameras at The Woodlands Mall, Hurricane Harbor

Taylor Roy and his wife Tasha Roy are both charged with felony invasive visual recording. Taylor Roy also coaches kids in tennis, detectives said.

THE WOODLANDS, Texas — A couple was arrested Thursday at their Shenandoah home after investigators said they were creating videos of underage girls with hidden cameras in public places in The Woodlands area.

Taylor Roy and Tasha Roy, both 30 years old, are each charged with felony invasive visual recording and officials said additional charges are pending. They were taken to the Montgomery County Jail and were being held on a $30,000 bond each.

Investigators said they were working from a tip when they found out Taylor Roy was working as a security guard at The Woodlands Mall while he was allegedly making the videos. While reviewing the videos, investigators said Taylor Roy's face was recorded while wearing his security guard uniform.

"These types of things, these tips, a lot of times when they go investigate, they find out that there is more than just someone looking," Ken Washington, with the constable's office, said.

The videos showed young girls undressing inside the Forever 21 dressing room at The Woodlands Mall, according to investigators. In addition to videos from the mall, they also found videos of juvenile females at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor and other parks in Montgomery County.

While authorities were serving a search warrant, they said they found several videos inside the couple's house.

Investigators said they believe Tasha Roy helped make the videos, so she was arrested, too.

Detectives said Taylor Roy was also a tennis coach for kids between 8 and 17 years old in The Woodlands/Spring area.

According to records, the couple has a child of their own who was placed in the care of family members. CPS said it's investigating along with law enforcement.

Investigators want people always to report anything suspicious.

"Be cautious of the surroundings your children are in. We don’t want them living in a police state but we want them to be cautious and aware," Washington said.

Anyone who thinks their child could be a victim is asked to call Montgomery County Precinct 3 Constable Ryan Gable's office at 281-364-4211 and ask to speak with a detective.
