Police looking for suspect who injured man in shooting in SW Houston

Police said they are receiving conflicting statements about what happened. There are surveillance cameras in the area and investigators are hoping the footage gives them a little more information about the shooting.

HOUSTON — Police are trying to put the pieces together of a shooting in southwest Houston that left one man injured.

It happened around 11 p.m. in the 11400 block of Cliffgate.

The Houston Police Department said when they arrived on the scene they found a bunch of shell casings and a lot of blood but no victims. They later discovered that a man involved in the shooting was taken to the hospital for a gunshot wound to his side. At last check, he is in critical condition.

There are no suspects in custody at this time.
