CLEAR LAKE SHORES, Texas – Police in Clear Lake Shores say a man is in critical condition after he was shot following an argument at an IHOP restaurant early Sunday.
According to Clear Lake Shores Police Department Chief Kenneth Cook, the shooting happened at about 3:25 a.m. at the IHOP on Marina Bay Drive, just west of Kemah.
Witnesses told police a couple and another man got into an argument inside the restaurant.
The gunman left but then returned and fired several gunshots through the front doors of the restaurant as the victim paid his bill.
The gunman fled the scene but was soon captured. Police say the weapon used was also recovered near a trailer not far from the crime scene.
The victim was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and was still alive at last check.
