HOUSTON – Police are investigating homicide after a woman was shot dead in the street in northeast Houston late Sunday.
According to the Houston Police Department, the victim was walking in the street along Elbert near South Hall when an unidentified male suspect approached her from behind and shot her.
This happened sometime before midnight late Sunday.
Police say the victim has not been identified. Witnesses tell them that she may have been homeless or renting a room nearby.
A description of the suspect has not been released.
