Galleria smash and grab robbers get away after holding up store

Police swarmed the Galleria Wednesday afternoon after a store robbery caught employees and customers off guard.

HOUSTON - Police are searching for two men accused of robbing a Macy's store in the Galleria Mall on Wednesday.

Officers say the masked suspects used a sledgehammer to break glass counters and steal high-end watches.

HPD says the crime happened around 1 p.m. on the second floor of the Macy's.

Thankfully, no one injured in the incident.

We've got a number of officers in & outside the Galleria Mall at 5085 Westheimer searching for at least two male suspects involved in a smash and grab robbery at a business on the second floor. No one injured. Incident reported about 1:10 pm. Expect delays in the area. #hounews
