Two women shot after getting cut off on North Freeway in Greenspoint area, police say

The two women were able to tell police a silver car cut them off on the freeway before opening fire.

HOUSTON — Two women were injured after someone opened fire on them while driving on the North Freeway early Saturday morning, according to the Houston Police Department.

Police said the incident started around 1 a.m. on the North Freeway headed southbound near the Greater Greenspoint area.

The two women were able to tell police a silver car cut them off on the freeway before opening fire. According to HPD, the driver, 41, was hit in her legs and possibly her torso and arm. The passenger, 35, was hit through her neck and chin area. Responding officers attempted to provide medical attention at the scene before the women were taken to a hospital in critical condition.

The only description police could give of a suspect or suspects was they were driving a silver car.
