HPD: Juvenile girl, several others hurt after fight turns into shootout outside Houston apartment complex

In the commotion, police said several people were injured by debris, like glass, when gunfire hit three cars.

HOUSTON — Several people, including a minor girl, were injured Saturday night after a fight escalated into a shooting outside an apartment complex near the South Loop and South Freeway, Houston police say.

This happened at a complex on Corder Street around 10:45 p.m.

Police said they received multiple conflicting statements, but it appears that a car pulled into a parking lot and started talking with some people outside the apartments when a fight broke out. That fight escalated into a shooting involving multiple different parties, according to HPD.

One car brought a juvenile girl to an area hospital where police said she had some type of graze wound. There's no word on her condition.

We don't yet know exactly how many people were injured or how many people opened fire.
