HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - The Harris County Sheriff's Office announced that a 'most wanted' fugitive has been captured in Mexico after 11 years on the run.
According to HCSO, William Joseph Greer, 52, has been charged in a murder from December 2006. He has been on the 'most wanted' list for allegedly killing his 28-year-old girlfriend Tammy Marie Esquivel.
Deputies say Greer was captured in a small town in southern Mexico. He will be extradited to Texas.
Esquivel's body was never found. Investigators say they hope this brings the family some measure of peace.
