FRISCO, Texas — The Frisco Police Department arrested an 18-year-old man Sunday and charged him with aiding suicide after his 17-year-old girlfriend killed herself late last year.

Police were called on Nov. 20 last year to Frisco Commons Park, 8000 McKinney Road, about suspicious activity, where they found the girl dead in the pond.

After exhaustive investigating, police say evidence showed that the suspect, Zander Tashman of Frisco, had helped the girl commit suicide.

Aiding suicide is a state jail felony, meaning Tashman faces up to two years in prison. The bond for his arrest was set at $10,000.
