Two brothers have been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after shooting a 20-year-old pregnant woman Thursday.

Kwan Tayes, 21, and Nickolaus Collins, 19, were arrested Monday at a home in the Aldine Mail Route area.

Investigators said the 36 weeks pregnant woman was standing at a bus stop in the 15300 block of Ella Blvd and Barren Springs Drive when someone started shooting. Deputies later found her lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.

Doctors said the woman is good and her baby’s health is excellent.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, earlier that day, the brothers were arguing with a group of men at a business located behind the bus stop. They drove by the business later that evening and starting shooting.

The woman tried to run away but was hit.

Both brothers remain in custody. Tayes bond was set at $40,000 and Collins was set at $30,000.
