Arrest warrant out for Texas motorcyclist who traveled from Colorado Springs to Denver in just 20 minutes

Rendon Dietzmann of Texas is now wanted in Colorado thanks to video evidence he uploaded that shows his speeds exceeding 170 miles per hour.

DENVER — A man who uploaded evidence of his street crimes on YouTube is now wanted by Colorado State Patrol a few months after a viral video showed him speeding between Denver and Colorado Springs on his motorcycle.

The video, which was titled “From Colorado Springs to Denver in 20 Minutes,” has since been removed from YouTube. However, the clip has been shared on several other social media channels and is now in the hands of Colorado prosecutors.

The video shows Rendon Dietzmann's speedometer displaying excessive speeds, sometimes reaching up to 173 mph as he darts between vehicles northbound on Interstate 25 sometime last year.

The 32-year-old man, who's from Texas, now has a warrant out for his arrest, according to online court records in El Paso County.

Records show investigators have filed an arrest warrant with seven counts:

  • Menacing – placed another person in fear of imminent serious bodily injury
  • Engaged in a speed contest
  • Reckless endangerment
  • Reckless driving
  • Speeding 40 mph over prima facie limit
  • Engaged in exhibition of speed
  • Vehicle had no number plates attached

In a statement, state patrol said it worked with investigators in Dallas.

“Illegal and reckless driving behavior will not be tolerated in Colorado,” stated Sgt. Troy Kessler, of the Colorado State Patrol.

Dietzman’s YouTube channel remains active online with numerous other videos that showcase his speeding.

On his Instagram account, shortly after state patrol sent out a press release about the criminal case, Dietzmann shared postings about his current arrest warrant.

9NEWS made several attempts to reach Dietzmann for comment, but he has not responded.
