HOUSTON — Police say a 17-year-old man was shot between four to five times while driving in the car with his 16-year-old girlfriend. The shooting happened Friday evening in the 7900 block of Homestead Road, near a Northeast Houston car wash.
According to Chief Art Acevedo, the couple had stopped in front of the car wash to pick up some friends when another car pulled up and someone started shooting.
The teen was taken to a hospital in the Texas Medical Center, police say he was talking to rescuers when he left the scene.
Police are not looking for a grey or silver newer model Ford Taurus.
