HOUSTON - Halloween in Houston was a complete washout, thanks to Mother Nature.
But if you're still looking to get your fix of skulls and skeletons, then good news, there's still the celebration of the Day of the Dead that starts Thursday.
The Day of the Dead, or Dia de Los Muertos, is a Mexican tradition that celebrates the lives of deceased friends and family. The holiday is observed in the U.S. and Hispanic countries from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2. Participants of the tradition typically create altars for their deceased loved ones and decorate them with photos, meaningful objects, and their favorite foods to attract their souls and honor their life.
