BRENHAM, Texas — Blue Bell is celebrating expanding to St. Louis with a new ice cream flavor inspired by the cake made famous there, Gooey Butter Cake Ice Cream.
The newest flavor from Blue Bell is a treat not only for St. Louis residents but also for everyone where its products are sold.
Gooey Butter Cake Ice Cream is in stores beginning Monday, the same day Blue Bell products arrive in St. Louis.
Gooey Butter Cake is flavorful Cake Batter Ice Cream combined with a cream cheese swirl and rich, gooey butter cake pieces.
“Our new Gooey Butter Cake Ice Cream is as delicious as the cake made famous in St.Louis,” said Carl Breed, vice president, of sales and marketing for Blue Bell. “Our ice cream is a great introduction if you have not tasted a gooey butter cake. There are delicious pieces of cake in each bite. And our Cake Batter Ice Cream combined with a cream cheese swirls, as they say, the icing on the cake.”
Gooey Butter Cake is available in half-gallon and pint sizes for a limited time.
“Today is a special day for Blue Bell,” Breed said. “We are excited to bring our products to St. Louis and the surrounding cities.”
