HOUSTON — The Houston Dynamo and Dash and American Red Cross are honoring military moms and expectant mothers by throwing them a big baby shower.
The Red Cross is partnering with the Houston soccer leagues as part of its Tiffany Circle Mission, a community of female leaders who spread awareness for the American Red Cross through community engagement locally, nationally and globally.
“We are honored to help provide support to military families as they bring their new bundle of joy home,” said Shawn Schulze, Executive Director and CEO of the Texas Gulf Coast Region. “Being a veteran myself and having kids, I know the added stress new babies can bring. We are thankful we can bring a small amount of relief by providing these free items and our safety educational courses. It’s a small way we can say thank you to our military families.”
The baby shower is Saturday, May 4 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Dynamo & Dash headquarters, at 431 Bastrop Street.
