What you need to know ahead of Super Tuesday vote

Harris County Clerk Dr. Diane Trautman discussed what residents need to know before the primary election.

HOUSTON — With the large number of delegates Texas has, our state could have a big impact on this year's elections.  Harris County Clerk Dr. Diane Trautman talked with Deborah Duncan about everything you need to know to make sure your voice is heard in the primary on Tuesday, March 3, 2020.  

Texas is an open primary state. Individuals will need to choose which party's primary to vote in.  Each party's ballot has local, state, federal and presidential races.

Early voting is currently underway at 52 Harris County locations and will be available through February 28, 2020. Early voting polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. On February 23, 2020, early voting polls are open from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  For early voting locations, click here

Assistance is available for all residents. All materials are available in four languages. People can ask for assistance from poll workers or bring in someone to translate the ballot. A curbside buzzer for voters with disabilities is available for those unable to enter the polling place.
