Meet the author of 'MOON GARDEN: A Guide to Creating an Evening Oasis'

Author, Jarema Osofsky, explains what a Moon Garden is all about and how you can create your own.

HOUSTON — Moon gardens are green spaces that come alive at night, with plants that reflect moonlight, attract nocturnal pollinators and release scent after sundown. Though beautiful during the day, they're best experienced in the evenings—perfect for anyone who works nine-to-five and wants to unwind in their garden after a long day. Alongside lush botanical illustrations, readers of "MOON GARDEN: A Guide to Creating an Evening Oasis," will find horticultural tips and design how-to for creating a rejuvenating space, as well as soothing rituals and calming meditations to practice in their garden, such as journaling and meditation.

The book has tips for both beginners and more experienced gardeners. It covers garden design principles for any type of garden, and also encourages readers to use their gardening practice as a opportunity to get more in touch with their spiritual side. In addition, it has extensive plant lists for both indoor houseplants and outdoor gardens, making it a valuable resource for urban gardeners and people with more outdoor space.
