HOUSTON — Firefighters from the Spring Fire Department heat things up with their 2020 calendar, which benefits the firefighter assistance fund and the Harris County Animal Shelter.
District Chief Jimmy Stewart, Jacob Bailey and Lewis Rougeou talked with Deborah Duncan about their calendar, which features volunteer firefighters, part-time and full-time firefighters posing with rescue animals from Harris County Animal Shelter. The firefighter assistance fund helps firefighters injured in the line of duty and those suffering major illnesses like cancer.
Eduardo Miranda from the Harris County Animal Shelter also discussed the important work done by the shelter. It uses the funds from this calendar for fostering and transporting animals to shelters that help with adoption.
