Nestled in Downtown Houston, El Big Bad offers more than just good drinks and scenic patio views; it presents a culinary adventure: The Burrito Challenge.
Crafted from six tortillas layered with beans, cheese, rice, pico de gallo, a pound of chicken, a pound of fajita, and crowned with queso, this burrito promises to leave you pleasantly stuffed by the fifth bite.
The recipe was inspired by El Big Bad’s head chef, Esteban Tzul. In order to complete El Big Bad’s burrito challenge, one must finish the whole meal in under 25 minutes.
Priced at $100, the seven-pound burrito may seem steep, but successfully finish the challenge, and the fees are waived. Winners also earn a commemorative hat, a t-shirt, and, of course, eternal bragging rights.
Many have dared to face it, yet none have emerged victorious.
