HOUSTON — Whether you like waffles soft or crispy, Saturday, August 24, is the day to celebrate the wonderful waffle.
Trina Waltenbaugh and Jessica Bilnoski from Seabrook Waffle Company showed Deborah Duncan a variety of ways to top the treat.
Seabrook Waffle Company specializes in the liege waffle, which originated in Belgium. The liege waffle is made from dough instead of batter, and has pearl sugar incorporated into the dough, giving it a sweet crunchy outside.
Seabrook Waffle Company is located in historic old Seabrook off Highway 146 at the bottom of the Kemah bridge. They will soon open a second location in Pearland.
