HOUSTON — Meagan Esparza has always loved all animals, but pigs held a very special place in her heart. Once her children were teenagers, the family decided to add a pig to their family. Since there was only one rescue in Texas at the time, and it was 4 hours away, they went to Craigslist. They found their first piggy princess, Lulu.
Shortly after, she knew there was a need for a mini pig rescue in the greater Houston area, and that's when Houston Mini Pig Rescue And Farm Sanctuary was born.
