New miniature golf club opening in Houston bringing 80s, 90s nostalgia

Holey Moley Mini Golf Club is opening on Friday, April 19, and will add a whole new meaning to the term "putt-putt."

HOUSTON — A new miniature golf club is opening in Houston for those who like to channel their inner Tiger Woods.

Holey Moley Mini Golf Club is opening on Friday, April 19, and is adding a whole new meaning to the term "putt-putt" by bringing a tidal wave of 80s and 90s nostalgia, neon vibes and good old-fashioned fun with three nine-hole mini golf courses.

The golf club will also have two karaoke rooms and a full-service bar and restaurant called The Caddy Shack. The 104-seat bar and dining space will serve some unique dishes including Grilled Elote Corn Ribs and an array of pizzas like Ricotta Margherita, which comes with San Marzano sauce with charred heirloom tomatoes, almond ricotta, balsamic reduction and fresh basil.

For those who like to dance and swing, Holey Moley Mini Golf Club will have local DJs spinning tunes that are on par with the club's vibes every Friday and Saturday night from 7 to 11 p.m.

"We are absolutely thrilled to bring Holey Moley Mini Golf Club to Houston!” Funlab’s Global CEO Michael Schreiber said. “Our brand of 'motherfunner' entertainment is a perfect fit for this vibrant and diverse city. We look forward to being a part of the Houston fun as we take putt-putt to a whole new level!"

Holey Moley Mini Golf Club will be located at 3839 Weslayan Street, near Houston's Greenway Plaza and River Oaks neighborhoods.

Opening hours

  • Mondays through Thursday -- noon to 11 p.m.
  • Fridays and Saturdays -- noon to 1 a.m.
  • Sundays -- 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

This will be Holey Moley's third U.S. location.
