HOUSTON — Maria Aguilera joined KHOU in October 2022, coming directly from KVUE, our sister station in Austin.
Before that, Maria worked for our sister station, KCEN, in Temple and KTXS News in Abilene as a reporter covering the crime and courts beat. Maria was raised in Houston, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism from the University of Houston. During her college years, she worked at Telemundo Houston as a marketing assistant, production assistant and interned in the news department.
When she’s not at work, Maria spends time with her corgi, Milo. She loves photography, music and going on walks with her pup.
