HOUSTON — The East Freeway has reopened heading outbound after being closed due to a deadly crash just past Beltway 8 Friday morning, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
According to Houston Transtar, this happened just after 3:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes near Dell Dale Boulevard. The freeway reopened just before 7 a.m.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzales said the crash involved two vehicles and an 18-wheeler. A woman was ejected from her vehicle and died at the scene.
