HPD: 14-year-old boy critically injured after being shot at SW Houston apartment complex

HPD Lt. JP Horelica said when police and the Houston Fire Department arrived on the scene, they found a 14-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the upper torso.

HOUSTON — A teen was critically injured after being shot in southwest Houston Sunday night, according to Houston police.

It happened at an apartment complex on Glenmont Drive near the Westpark Tollway.

HPD Lt. JP Horelica said when police and the Houston Fire Department arrived on the scene, they found a 14-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the upper torso.

He was taken to a trauma center where he is in critical condition, according to Horelica.

There is no information on a potential suspect or suspects.
