Will we luck out with rain on this St. Patrick's Day?

Top o' da marnin' to ya! It's St. Patrick's Day! Let's raise a glass and say a prayer to St. Pat that everybody has a safe, fun filled afternoon under dry but very warm skies.

This weekends weather won't feature of a pot o' gold but rather a mixed bag of cloudy skies, passing showers and even a few thunderstorms.

Saturday:

Does our weather make others green with envy? Depends on where you are. It'll be a mostly cloudy day with a few passing showers, while a few peeks of sun can't be ruled out, we'll definitely be socked in with clouds all day. Some clouds may squeeze out a few rain showers but shouldn't be enough to hamper any out door plans. Expect a very warm day with highs in the mid 80s -- or about 10 degrees above normal for this time of year.

If you're headed to the parade downtown, it should be a cloudy but dry one with cloudy skies.

Sunday:

Sunday will be very similar to Saturday in that we'll have more clouds than sun and temperatures will be very warm with highs shooting up into the mid 80s. While most of Sunday will be dry, rain chances will go up in the late afternoon as the next front rolls in. This could spark some thunderstorms in the immediate Houston area after 5 p.m. Once the front pushes through early Monday, skies will clear out making for a gorgeous week ahead with temperatures in the 70s.
