Houston Forecast: Hot, steamy Monday evening
Updated today at 4:36 PM
HOUSTON -- It will be hot and sunny on Monday, but there is some relief on the way, according to KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul.
We’ll top out around 98 degrees under mostly clear skies, but there is a very slight chance for a stray shower this evening.
The rain chance increases to 20-percent with another hot afternoon in store on Tuesday.
Wednesday into Thursday our temperatures will start to drop with an increase in the rain chances.
“It’s not until later this week our ‘feels like’ temps will finally drop below these dangerous levels, and it’s thanks to a rare cold front,” said Paul. “This will work into the region, pushing these near-100 degree temperatures away and bringing us rain and storms.”
By this weekend we’ll have a 60-percent chance for rain as the front stalls out overhead.
Our daytime temps will be a more reasonable later this week and through the weekend – in the mid-80s.
