Updated today at 10:49 PM
HOUSTON – It will be ‘dangerously hot’ in the Houston area as we start the weekend, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner.
Showers will stay off shore Friday morning, but could move closer by mid-day with thundershowers developing in the western and northern of portions of the Houston metro area.
Friday will be warmer with highs peaking around 97 and a 20-percent chance for rain. However, the showers should dissipate by Friday evening.
We could reach triple digits this weekend due to a spike in temperature. Early next week will be exceptionally hot too, with very little chance for rain.
By Tuesday and Wednesday the temps finally go back down a little bit as a 30-percent chance for rain moves in.
