HOUSTON — The Houston area could see some dangerous heat this weekend as temperatures push closer to triple digits, according to the KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.
Temperatures will start out in the upper 70s Saturday morning before warming up to 98 in the afternoon.
We could see a heat advisory issued sometime this weekend with heat index temperatures expected to range from 102 to 107.
Saturday will be much drier than the last we days with only a 10 percent chance of rain.
Expect temps to continue to warm up Sunday and Monday.
By Tuesday and Wednesday the temps finally go down with an unusual July cold front and a 40- to 50-percent chance for rain.
Late next week our temperatures will drop into the low- to mid-90s.
It’ll still be hot but not quite as bad as this coming weekend.
