Houston Forecast: More sun, slight rain chance Thursday afternoon
Updated today at 1:17 PM
HOUSTON -- A few showers passed to our east early Thursday, but the sun is expected to return this afternoon, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner.
“We had some passing showers,” said Garner. “A lot of the activity dissipated early Thursday afternoon, and I think the sun is going to follow very quickly. We will still have clouds and possibly a stray shower, but I think that is unlikely at this point.”
We’ll top out around 84 degrees this afternoon with a 10-percent chance for rain.
Friday and Saturday the skies will be clear with slightly warmer daytime temperatures.
By Sunday a chance for rain returns as we get well into the upper-80s.
By Monday we could see our first 90-degree temps of the year.
Early next week the skies clear out again, and our daytime temps drop into the mid-70s thanks to a front.
