Houston Forecast: Scattered storms possible Thursday morning

HOUSTON -- It will be hot and steamy on Thursday as a "heat dome" locks high temperatures into place over Southeast Texas, and a few scattered storms are likely on your morning commute, according to KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul.
Temps kick off Thursday morning in the upper-70s and there's a 20-percent chance for rain. Temps will reach a forecast high of 96 degrees with a 30 percent chance for rain in the afternoon.
Friday our daytime temps increase to about 98 degrees under sunnier skies.
This weekend is looking sunny and very hot with actual temps around 99 degrees in the afternoon and overnight lows in the low-80s.
On Sunday and Monday we could hit 100 degrees as a slight rain chance returns early next week.
