Updated today at 6:55 AM
HOUSTON – Monday morning started off cloudy with a few light sprinkles in the area, but even more rain is expected in the evening hours, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
Early this morning we were in the low-50s across town. This afternoon we’ll warm up to about 72 degrees.
“We’re under cloudy skies this morning with a steady stream of moisture,” said Johnson. “The main area of low pressure will move in from the west, increasing our chance for showers and thunderstorms Monday evening. Our greatest chance for rain is from 8 p.m. tonight to 8 a.m. Tuesday.”
There’s a 30-percent chance for rain tonight and a 50-percent chance for rain early Tuesday.
By Tuesday evening the clouds will start to clear out, leaving us with pleasant weather the rest of this week.
We’ll have daytime highs in the low-60s and overnight lows in the low-40s later this week.
This weekend a few clouds move back in along with a slight chance for rain.
