HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Deputies responded to a possible hit-and-run that left a female pedestrian dead on Highway 6 in southwest Harris County Friday morning.
This happened just before 6 a.m. in the 8300 block of Highway 6 South near Beechnut.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the body of a woman was discovered in the roadway. The driver did not remain at the scene.
Vehicular crimes investigators are on their way to the scene.
Northbound lanes on Highway 6 have reopened after being shut down for most of the morning.
