HOUSTON — Houston police said three suspects were taken into custody and two others got away after a corner store robbery and chase overnight.
The robbery was reported at the Valero on Richmond near Shepherd at about 10 p.m. Thursday.
A clerk reported three men robbed the store of cash and cigarettes. The suspects fled, but police later saw their vehicle in the Museum District, according to the Lt. Crowson with HPD.
The suspects allegedly refused to stop for officers and led then on a pursuit to Arbor and Emancipation, where they crashed and tried to run away on foot.
One officer suffered a head injury while chasing the suspects. He was transported to a nearby hospital to get checked out.
The names of the captured suspects have not been released at this time.
