HPD: Teen suspect wanted for killing man leaving home for work

The Houston Police Department said the male suspect is in his late teens and is about 5 feet 11 inches tall with a skinny build. He has black hair with light red highlight tips.

HOUSTON — Police are looking for a teenager accused of shooting a man who was leaving his house for work Tuesday morning.

The Houston Police Department said the male suspect is in his late teens and is about 5 feet 11 inches tall with a skinny build. He has black hair with light red highlight tips.

The shooting happened around 6 a.m. in the 8400 block of South Course Drive.

Ramone Alviso Esquivel, 56, was in the parking lot of his apartment complex, getting ready to leave for work, when the suspect attempted to forcibly take his personal property. When Esquivel resisted, the suspect pulled out a gun and shot him. The suspect then ran away.

Esquivel was pronounced dead at the scene.
