HISD counselor charged with indecency with a child

The girl told police her school counselor would take her out of class to go to his office and touch her in a sexual way.

HOUSTON - A school counselor in Houston ISD has been charged with indecency with a child after a 7th grade student said he touched her inappropriately over the course of six months.

Mario Alonzo Juliangarza, 45, is accused of touching the student in a sexual manner while in his office. According to court documents, the girl told investigators Juliangarza would tell her he would have wet dreams about her.

The girl said the teacher would make her touch him while he would get an erection and he would make her sit on his lap.

The girl also told police Juliangarza would take her out of class to go to his office and talk to her about his personal life.

The abuse reportedly occurred from January 2012 to July 2012.

Juliangarza told investigators he was a counselor at Deady Middle School but said he did not remember the girl.

He said he did remember her mother, however. He told police the girl's mother asked for him to talk to her daughter about a behavioral matter.

Juliangarza has denied all allegations he made sexual contact with the girl. His bail has not yet been set.
