HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - Two wanted men are now in custody following the robbery of an Uber driver.

Tyler Austin Hood, 18, and James Neal Romine, 19, are accused of robbing a 51-year-old Uber driver of her purse and shooting at her car, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators say the driver had dropped off a fare in the 17700 block of Timber Forest Drive in northeast Harris County shortly before 1 a.m. on February 14. She told deputies that an SUV pulled in front of her car and stopped her from leaving.

The suspects allegedly exited the car and one of them had a gun. They walked to her car and demanded money and valuables, according to HCSO.

The driver's door was forced open and her purse was taken. Investigators say the suspects then ran back to the SUV and shot at the victim's car before driving away. The driver was not hurt.

Investigators say they believe Hood and Romine are the suspects seen on video robbing the woman.

Hood is being held in the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office detention center. Romine was taken into custody Wednesday morning by the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office SWAT Team on other charges.

Anyone with information on these two suspects is urged to call the HCSO Robbery division at 713-274-9210.
